About halfway through college I got an internship with a local startup incubator. I was placed in a small company of about ten people bringing clinical trials to private practices and health systems. I found myself in a couple different roles until I finally settled into the technology team as a project manager.
From there, my interest in software really took off. I enjoyed working with the developers and I wanted to get a deeper understanding of the work they did on a day-to-day basis. It's one thing to know the business strategy and deliverables, but I wanted to understand the technical implimentation as well.
When I'm not working or learning more about web development I like to hike in the Adirondack Mountains, cook delicious meals, and spend time with my dog Sadie and my fiance, Madison.
